The Center for Effective Teaching is happy to announce that Tony Podlaski is the new Faculty Liaison for the CET.
Tony began teaching for the college in 2004 as an adjunct instructor. He joined the English, Foreign Languages, and English as a Second Language department as a full-time faculty member in 2008.
Tony is no stranger to the CET, having served as a Faculty Mentor since 2007. He also has been a member of the Faculty Workshop Day Committee since 2010, serving as chair for that group since 2014. Tony is an Academic Senator and also is the chair of the Personnel Resources Committee.
You can reach Tony in his CET office (BTC 1034; 629-8064) on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., after 11 a.m. on Wednesdays, and all day on Thursdays, or by email at a.podlaski@hvcc.edu.
Tony will serve in the faculty liaison role for the next three years (while maintaining a part-time teaching load) and will work with other CET staff to provide professional development activities, facilitate faculty and departmental outreach, and explore innovative teaching and learning initiatives.
We are delighted to welcome Tony to the CET team and know that he will be a great asset to our campus community because of his commitment to the professional development of his colleagues and his dedication to the college.
